I embarked on a name-finding journey for a new feature in Traveloka's Train Tickets product.

About the Project

I needed to create a name for a new train ticket booking feature. The feature allows users to get notified when the train tickets they want–which might have been sold out or were not yet available–become available. By using this feature, users can immediately book their tickets seconds after they receive the notification.

Since there wasn't going to be any marketing push, the name itself must be self-explanatory and easy to remember.

The Solution

Provide several name alternatives and blast a short survey to determine which one works best.

How I Helped

Role: UX Writer

  • Listed down keywords to use as a base for the naming

  • Conduceted desktop research on similar features

  • Crafted several name alternatives

  • Blasted a short internal survey to see how people respond to the names

  • Analyzed survey results to provide recommendations

  • Consulted the brand team to ensure the name is marketable

Alternative 1: Seat Alert

Alternative 2: Availability Alert

Alternative 3: Seat Update
